How to Invite Your Friends onto Tsū

You’ve drank the Kool-Aid and have decided to give Tsū a chance, but when you posted it all over your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, people didn’t flock like the salmon of Capistrano (thank you again Dumb and Dumber).  The few people that did respond asked if someone hacked your account because they got some SPAM from you.  Well, first off you made the right move by joining the ”tsunami”!  The beginning will be a little more difficult, but once you get the word out, people will begin to snowball.

Explain to One Person at a Time

Your time is much better served by speaking to 3-5 of your closest friends and patiently explaining the Tsū philosophy… Tsū believes that users should own the content they post and they offer a free platform that you can display your photos, check-ins and stories on.  Tsū also helps you collect royalties on this content by arranging for advertisers to put ads on the same of which the person posting the content keeps 50%. That concept will make sense to just about anyone who has posted on any other social media site.  Make sure you understand how the concept works before you try explaining it otherwise you will lose some credibility with them.  You can find more information throughout this site on the royalty breakdown.

Inviting Friends to tsu

This is a technique brought to light in the movie “The Social Network” (how is that for irony?…).  In the movie, when Facebook wanted to infiltrate a University that already had its own social network, they would open Facebook up to all of the schools around the one they wanted which would then influence the one they wanted to join up.
People in general want to be part of the crowd and not be left out.  If you have already convinced 3-5 of your closest friends (and most likely they have told a few people) it will be much easier to explain the site to other less close friends, because at the end of the day they now believe it isn’t SPAM and they trust the judgment of 20 people over the judgment of one.

Help Your Crew Out

Since the community is still relatively small (I would guess 50,000 as of today, but that is a complete guess).  The amount of money people make from views will be very small until users have friends and followers increase.  Remember that royalties stem from eyeballs on ads, which means eyeballs on your posts.  Right now, there aren’t as many eyeballs to go around, so make sure to comment, share and like your “children’s” content.  Yes, the people that join in a year after all of their friends, will come out of the gates making $.50-1.00 per day after they use Tsū’s Friend Finder, BUT they will not be able to make royalties from inviting people because everyone they know will already be on Tsū and that is where the average user can really make significantly more in royalties.

Use Power Users as Credibility

Many of the stronger Tsūlebrities will be announcing publicly in the next week or two I’m assuming, so once they do, don’t be afraid to tell people.  This is another way of validating the site because these types of “brands” (yes… they are no longer people as much as they are brands in the manager’s eyes) are closely protected by the management who looks after them.  You can be sure they have done significant due-diligence before getting their clients involved in anything.
While there are a lot of different marketing techniques people will use from bringing in businesses and non-profits to inviting a celebrity or user with a big following, but don’t discount the people closest to you.  You’ll find that if your direct friends tell their direct friends, your “Network” will growing very quickly!
