What is Tsu?

Tsu is different:

Look a little closer at the revenues generated by Facebook and it’s clear that the main profit driver isn’t the skill and entrepreneurship of its owners, rather it’s user content which attracts advertisers, sponsors and other investors, keen to gain exposure for their goods and services. Although Facebook is free to use, the advertising revenue generated from user content is kept by the site, leaving users without recompense for their input. This injustice is one that tsū, an innovative, new social networking site is keen to address.

The concept:

Born in New York, the concept behind tsū is straight-forward; users deserve to be given the profits from advertising revenue which is directly generated from the content which they post. In practice this means that, after taking 10% of total advertising revenue to pay for the site’s maintenance and development, tsū distribute the remaining 90% between site users, with individual earnings being based on the popularity of the content (how many views) in addition to earnings from other users based on your online relationship with them. What this means is that it’s possible to use tsū as you would any other networking site, but get paid for doing so.
Tsū looks very similar to Facebook and operates in much the same way; the key differences relate to the profit sharing aspect of the site and also the way in which members are recruited and recompensed. Unlike other networking sites, tsū users need to be recruited by existing users, as membership is by invitation only. This not only helps ensure high calibre content and hopefully minimises any issues associated with inappropriate content or cyberbullying, it also enables tsū to use its sophisticated algorithm to calculate earnings.

Introducing the Tsu family tree:

In addition to being recompensed for their own posts, users also get a percentage of earnings from the postings made by other users that they invited to join. A user’s “Family Tree” (network of recruited users which is widened to include those users that the recruited users, in turn, recruit) also influences earnings, meaning that the more people you recruit, the greater the revenue you receive. The payment algorithm allows strong networkers to benefit, although the emphasis of the site is firmly based on the need for premium content rather than simply building a Family Tree.

An opportunity for individuals, businesses, networkers and content creators:

With a $7 million funding deal from the prestigious Sancus Capital Prive agreed, it’s evident that the tsū concept makes sound business sense as well as giving users a well-deserved return for their valuable content. Given the concerns which many people have about using the more established social networks, tsū provides an irresistible opportunity for networkers to not only benefit from a fresh, engaging platform for their content, but also enables them to be appropriately rewarded for doing so.
